Our thoughts...

This is the first time I am reading this author and I really enjoyed it!  I’m a little confused on if this is a series or it was a series and now she combined them? I’m not sure but it did not end on a cliff hanger.  It was completed in my opinion.

You get to meet Haven and Jake in this book that is set in the UK.  They are working on a project for work and you are able to go on their journey of trying to find love.  There are Lots of ups and downs for this couple so you need to read it to find out if they get a happily ever after.

If you enjoy work place romance or contemporary romance with a little bit of drama this will be a book you will enjoy.  I really did enjoy this book and all the characters.  The main characters and the secondary ones were really easy to fall in love with.  4 stars!

Release Blitz & Teasers: Honor by Gillian Zane

Blurb:
The NOLA Zombie series comes to a close with this emotional and action-packed installment.

Since the SHTF, Romeo is good at one thing, killing zombies. He doesn’t want to waste his time with anything else. His fellow survivors think of him as a machine and he’s fine with that. There isn’t any time to waste on things, like feelings, or other nonsense.

Lena Dervay, former movie star, current walking victim has barely been surviving in a repurposed middle school run by an incompetent Army Lieutenant. She and her group of survivors are as good as dead if they stay put.  When Lena finally gets in touch with Romeo, she knows that if anyone can come in and save the day, it’s him. Problem is, Romeo isn’t the charming, white knight, hero that she remembers. Lena is still drawn to him, though, and as their paths intersect she knows she might not come out intact in the end, body or soul.

About the Author:

Gillian Zane is the author of the NOLA Zombie series. Zane is the pen name of a prominent blogger in the publishing industry, which will remain a mystery unless you Google it. Since she can remember her goal has been to become Master of the Universe and has decided to focus first on the literary world. Things are progressing nicely.

Zane has been a freelance writer for the last ten years and has published a few non-fiction works, none of which was very exciting. Zombies are much more exciting and a way for her to combine her two current obsessions, hot boys with guns and Doomsday Prepping. When she isn't stockpiling MREs (Meal's Ready to Eat) or researching how to build a cistern on a budget, she's taking care of her little family and exploring the city that she loves, New Orleans. In all honesty Exrated wasn’t the book for me. I reminded me of another ‘porn star’ book that is out there. The entire book is Tyler wanting to get Jemma back yet continuing to be a porn star, knowing that she hates it.

I am a huge Samantha Towle fan! This book was AMAZING and I couldn’t put it down. Plus I love the cover too, it’s so pretty.

Taylor knows tragedy very well and since the return of her brain tumor she decides to live the rest of her life to the fullest. She made a list of things to do and go to London is where she starts.

She never expected to meet someone like Liam who could make her feel things. Liam opened Taylor’s eyes to what life could be like. I just loved Liam. He was everything I would want a book boyfriend to be.

This book had it all, feels, happiness and tears. I highly recommend this book.

Synopsis
Taylor Shaw had the perfect life—until she was sixteen. That was when everything changed. From that moment on, life went from bad to worse…to the worst. After recovering from a brain tumor, months later, she suffers the tragic loss of her whole family. Since that fateful day, she’s been coasting through life.
Now, the brain tumor has returned, and Taylor decides she’s had enough. She’s going to take her fate into her own hands. No more hospitals. No more surgeries. No more anything. She’s going to join her family. It’s her decision. What she longs for. The ending she wants.
She just has a list of things to do before she goes. First, go to England. Second, kiss a stranger…
Only, Taylor didn’t expect Liam Hunter, the stranger—with his handsome face, his six-foot-three of gorgeousness, and his oh-so-hot English accent—to change things. To change her. To change the ending she wanted.
What is a girl, who is standing on the edge of nothing, to do when offered the chance of everything?

A Note from Samantha: Writing The Ending I Want has been a cathartic and exhausting process for me, but I have loved every second of writing it. I relate to this story more than any of the stories that I’ve written before. Maybe that’s because there’s a piece of me in this book. And not in Taylor having a brain tumor, because fortunately I’ve never had to endure anything like that. But for me, it was the need to feel free from something that has crippled me for many years, just like Taylor is crippled by her own pain. Taylor wanted to die to be free. I never wanted to die, but I did want to be free, in a way that’s hard to explain. But now, after years of feeling trapped by my demons, things that have held me back in life, I’ve found a way to get the freedom I needed. I’m still a work in progress, but I’m working better now than I ever did before - just saying this cryptic stuff out loud is a big step for me. So, writing Taylor in the way I did was a big deal for me. I really hope that you love this story, and see strength in Taylor's choices rather than weakness.
The Ending I Want Teaser 1
Excerpt
Go to England. Kiss a stranger. Have lots of sex,” his deep voice rumbles out the words I wrote. He glances at me over his shoulder, a shit-eating grin on his face. I don’t even bother with trying to get the list back now. What’s the point? He’s already seen it. Bastard. I fall back into my seat, my face feeling like a blowtorch went at it. “You’re an asshole,” I mutter. He turns to face me, my list in his hand but still held out of my reach. “Aw, don’t be like that, Taylor, from Boston. I was just curious to read it.” I’m pretty sure he’s going for contrite, but he’s failing miserably. I glare at him. I’m going for death-by-laser stare. It doesn’t work because he gives me a panty-dropping smile. I’d like to say I’m unaffected, but I’m not; however, I don’t let him know that. “Curious? I don’t think so. An effing thief? Yes.” He laughs. “I’m sorry. But you don’t need to be embarrassed. It’s a good list.” He looks back to my list. “Have sex with a stranger,” he continues on reading. “Have sex with a stranger outdoors. You do know I can help you with all of these, right?” He lifts a brow at me. I give him the middle finger. He laughs again and looks back to the list. Then, he stops laughing and stares at me with what can only be described as complete horror. “You’ve never had oral sex?” Fuck. Why the hell did I put that on my list? Playlist

“So I’m your huntress and thief?” ---“You are my salvation, Feyre.”  --- *Insert swooning giph*

That line was one of many in the next installment of the Court series. I have been waiting on this baby for a year. I am going to try something a little different. I don’t want to spoil the whole book, but there is going to be no possible way to keep from it. So for a full warning. After the break, there will be a tiny spoil  because I just have to tell you how I felt the whole time.

I want to thank two ladies who listened to me rant, rave, giphy, and emoji the hell out of them while I read this. My good friend Kyla who devoured it so fast I hadn’t even gotten to chapter 18 by the time she finished, but it was good she did because she didn’t want me spoiling the hell out of her the whole time, she probably would have MURDERED me *laughs*. Speaking of which there are 69 *hehe* Chapters in this book. Yes over 600 pages, so, it took me half a week to get through every single morsel. Thank you JV for reading along with me. Even though you were technically “listening”(She did the audio version and will no doubt have fantastic things to say about that). At one point she messaged me that she pulled over in a parking lot during a particular scene *laughs* YEAH. If I could screenshot our whole Private Message during the read, I would. It was full of every single emotion possible. I hope you enjoy my review.
