I have been waiting for this book since the author announced it was in the works months ago. I have read her previous work, and have been intrigued by this latest breakout author.  I will say after staying up until the middle of the night and eventually finishing it off the next day I was utterly consumed.

Blood Beyond Darkness was the perfect ending to a series. It’s almost after you get through book three that you can finally sigh with relief that the intensity is going to ramp up one last time with the ending on the horizon.

This book was crazy intense with a heavy dose of angst. I felt like I was climbing a ladder I was never coming down from in the beginning. I couldn’t catch a break. The words just kept coming at me with no room for air. So I didn’t get going in this book until about halfway through.

WHEW! I just took a quick jump off the wild ride I was on to let everyone know how excellent this second book in the series is/was. There was a bit of a cliff from the first book, so I immediately had to get my hooks into this one. What.A.Book. I don’t think I can contain my excitement about how this author ramped up this series in this second installment. Just excellent.
