A Good Book

Author: Jewel E. Ann
Genre: New Adult
Publisher: Jewel E. Ann

Pub Date: April 2, 2014
Rating: 4 Stars

Our thoughts...

I have been enjoying  this series. Only Jewel E. Ann can gut me and make me laugh in the same book. She has a way with words and will always break my heart in the best way and put it back together. A Good Book was literally that a good book. It was raw .

We get Gabby’s story and man was it a story. She is the youngest sister of the Jacobson family and the first to go to college. Her childhood friend Ben follows her to the same college. She’s there for another guy and he’s there for her.

The slow burn and turns in the book! I couldn’t get enough of. Must read!

We’re back in Avalon Falls and I’m so happy. This series is so good and gets better with every book. Loved Graham and Francesca’s story. They are the cutest is and this is one of my favorite troupes. These two met years ago at a college party and things were cut short. Years later they meet again and Francesca moved to Avalon Falls to open up a bookstore these two are in the same town. Graham is the best. He has figured out a way to help her break free from her parents and their rules. This was a slow burn fast paced read that had me glued to my kindle.

When Nicole grandmother needs someone to take care of her Nicole gets Atticus to help and pretend they are still married. The chemistry and attraction for these two is off the charts and only reminds them of being together. You can’t help but want Atticus and Nicole to make things work again.

I was hooked once I started this book. I am loving this series and these characters. Jane is a single mom doing her best to raise her daughter and give her the best life. She is a hard working and determined to not let anyone in again. After getting her heart broke once she was good and just wants to raise her daughter. She is now in the match making business and is trying to make it take off.

She never thought Jasper would end up as one of her clients let alone someone she would open up to. The banter between these two is great and they have chemistry. Jane doesn’t want to want him but sometimes it’s hard to say no.

I enjoyed Jane and Jasper’s story.

Where are all my angst lovers at? I was so happy to have this book on my kindle. I cannot get enough of a good story with angst in it. Talk about the chemistry Brayden and Alex have, off the charts.  They are both attracted to one another but the age is a big deal for Alex. She thinks he is too young and they don’t have much in common in what they want right now. When they finally give in oh man. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are some of my favorite authors for a reason. When I pick up one of their books I know I am going to love it. You get a great story full of emotion, angst  and romance. Must read!

I have been on a roll with amazing reads from great authors. I have been waiting on the next book in this series since I finished the first one. I adored the first book and was so excited to get Cameron’s story. I am a sucker for small town enemies to lovers romance. Add sports into the mix and I am one happy girl. That is a great combo for a good story. These two definitely don’t start off good and the instant bickering begins. Unstoppable Love was a fun read with great characters and plenty of witty banter and chemistry. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
