Our thoughts...

Hold onto your pants people, The Red is going to blow you away. If you’re familiar with Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series then you know Nora Sutherland and this is definitely “Nora.” The Red is the novel written by the character Nora Sutherland in the Original Sinners series and now Reisz has brought it to life. It is sexy, taboo, weird (in a good way), and full of sex while maintaining a quality plot. Add in the fact that Nora based some of these scenes on her personal experiences and you are in for quite the ride.

I won’t say much about this book because you should just dive in and enough is mentioned in the blurb to let you know if it’s up your alley. What I will say is that Reisz has referred to this book as being porn and I won’t disagree with her. I will clarify that this is like quality porn with a true-to-life storyline versus the porn where the TV repairman comes over and the female roommates answer without wearing clothes. Reisz delivers her typical intellectual storyline but fills it with even more sex and taboo than she typically adds but that’s because Nora is technically writing this story and her life is anything but vanilla.

Pick this up if you know what you are getting into and love the Original Sinners series. Don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a set of 11 collectible cards featuring the paintings mentioned in The Red and an author autograph card!
