Our thoughts...

I am so happy to report that book 2 was great! The story flowed perfectly, and it seemed to be entirely edited. This was a huge step for me regarding continuing in the story. Anyway, let’s get to it. Slight spoiler’s ahead. You have been warned.

Ember finds herself in a strange place upon waking from her little run away from Eli. Yes again. These two can’t seem to get it together I sware. The tension is compounding more and more the longer the story continues, and while I was a little perturbed in the first book, this book was better regarding that push and pull. Partly because she was away from him, but also because she had to focus on her real problem, which was getting her friends back.
The characters in this second book were very entertaining. At one point Ember meets up with two pixie men, and they are absolutely hilarious. I love that the author adds these types of personalities into the fold because let's be honest there is some serious shit going on in this fantasy.
Off to read the next, because I don’t have to wait!

4.5 stars!
