Our thoughts...
I am such a huge fan of J. Daniels and couldn’t wait to get
my hands on Bad For You. It’s been a while since I read the first two books in
the series; thankfully this book can be read as a standalone.
I loved the hero and the heroine so much. These two
characters are complex and easy to love. They both work at the WHITECAPS
restaurant and are complete opposites. Sean is quite and brooding while Shayla
is outgoing and compassionate.
Sean aka Stitch has had a hard life. He had to learn how to
take care of himself at an early age. Stealing food and clothing is something
he had to do to survive. As he grew older the life of crime is what he knew and
what landed him in jail.
Shayla is compassionate and working towards her dream of
owning her own hair salon. It didn’t take long for her to fall for Sean. They
were able to have quite conversations together at the restaurant. Any time she
would try for more it only pushed Sean away.
This story had so many twists and turns I didn’t see coming.
The build up and angst for this story was perfect. If you love a hero that is
damaged and your heart breaks for him, this is your book. This is a book you
don’t want to miss.
