If you like Hallmark movies, you’ll like Lucian Divine. Now, I’m not knocking Hallmark movies; they are a pleasure for many and a guilty pleasure for pretty much everyone else. But here’s the thing, I need to be in the mood for a good Hallmark movie and I just wasn’t in the mood for it when I started reading Lucian Divine.

L. J. Shen is a favorite of mine, its not a secret!  I love her books.  This one did not disappoint either.  She really knows how to write a character that you can connect with so much and really fall in love with.  This was a great way to start off the new your with this awesome read!

A few times a year I pick up a great novel, and I will admit to you reader that I am a huge cover snob. I always go through the book section at my local Target, and low and behold this cover whispered sweet nothings. It’s stunning. It’s dark. It’s oh so lovely. I didn’t even read the blurb till I got home. I just had to have this.  During the holidays when I have a spare moment or two I try to read what I can as time permits. It’s quite a long read, and as with any Fantasy I dive into I have to take my time or I will get all confused, and have to go back. Well in this day and age I don’t have a chance to go back.
