Our thoughts...
Men ~ Choices ~ Redemption
Gold picks up right
where Diamonds left off. Bryna “Bri” Turner is off to
Nevada State University to cheer and follow in her parents footsteps. She hopes
to leave behind the disaster of senior year. Bri hides behind a carefully
crafted mask. She wants everyone to believe that she has no heart; she doesn’t
need anything but money. She will “dig” and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks
about her. Truth be told, Bri does have a heart and she does care about
people’s opinions of her. It takes the friendship of a certain guy to make her
realize that.
Boy, oh boy, are there lots of love interests
for Bri in this book. There was one guy I wanted her with, one who I
didn’t want to get hurt, two that I wanted her to stick it to (boy are those
two assholes), and one that was a place filler in my mind, until she was ready
to see the truth.
K.A. Linde doesn’t disappoint in this book.
You have the multiple love interests, the angst, the “what are you thinking?” moments,
and finally the perfect ending! I gave this book 4.5 stars and here is why: I
wanted more and less of some aspects. I am just not exactly sure what those aspects are exactly. Maybe I shouldn’t rate book on my wants, but #sorrynotsorry, I
love K.A. Linde’s writing. I want to see what Bri does next, how life continues
for her and her love. I’m hoping that we will see more of Bri and her choice in
the next two books. Gold is technically a stand alone, but I
would recommend reading Diamonds first to get the back story on
what lead to Bri’s “digging”, her fall and ultimately her rise!
