This was the perfect book for me to listen to this week. This is my first time reading a book by Kayley Loring and it won’t be the last. Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright do a great job bringing the story to life. This book put me in a good mood while listening to it.

WOW!  I wanted to write my review while I am still processing everything. The downside to this, is my mind is still spinning. Dang, that was a frustrating (in a good way) ride. I just don’t fully know what to think or expect in the next books.

I have been not so anxiously waiting for First Verse. I was so ready to get my hands on Cash’s story and let me tell you it did not disappoint. When we first met him in the Love Hurts duet and I was not a huge fan. After reading this book I am Cash McGraw fan even more.

We get a lot of Cash’s POV in this story and some flashbacks. We finally get a look into his life and my heart broke for him.  I now understand more why he made the decisions he has. I cannot wait for the conclusion to this duet.
