Strength~ Honesty~ Love

Wow! As I process this story, I fall more in love with the characters, if that is even possible. I loved the strength and determination that Natalie displayed while being in the worst situation ever; stuck between two loves and two very different kinds of love.

Growth ~ Adulting ~ Passion

***Do not read this review if you have not read the first two installments of the series***

**I also suggest you read this book in an environment that allows for little interruption. Excessive amounts of interruption may be harmful to those around you**

Talk about completing an arc. Everything I had been questioning, everything I needed resolved, is taken care of. It wasn’t handed to me in a neat package, however, so don’t think this is one of THOSE stories. The reader has to work for answers and closure. This isn’t an easy ride here, not at all.

Our thoughts...
Smart ~ Amusing ~ Addictive

I have the distinct feeling that Penny Reid loves what she does. The stories she writes feel more like someone telling a personal story; situations are relatable, laughs come naturally, and dialogue is comfortably conversational. Reid’s humor often reminds me of Carol Burnett; the humor and jokes are smart, not dumbed-down and mindless. This helps make the stories stronger and humor more organic. And anyone who has ever watched Burnett perform can easily see how much she enjoys herself throughout the whole performance. I love this attribute in a person, in a story, in anything. Loving what you do is so important and it can be quite impactful. Reid’s enjoyment is infectious.

Soulmates ~ Pain ~ Life

There aren’t enough stars to rate the emotional impact of this book!

It was fun to read about Jax and Lilly toying with the line between loving each other but also remaining best friends. There were also times that my heart was in pain, like can’t breathe, screaming NOOOOO in my head… type of pain. Watching them make bad decisions (not cheating or anything lame like that) or decisions that, as an adult reader I knew weren’t going to give them the best outcome. It’s so hard for me to say what I was watching them do without giving away spoilers, but just know it’s painful to read about. My heart was scared for them, so very very scared.
