Unconditional Love~ Moods~ Unknown

I finished this book a week ago and I needed time to process everything. I have a mixed review for this book. I really loved That Boy and That Wedding; JJ, Phillip and Danny. I loved the dynamic of their friendship. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was for That Baby. I feel that long wait ruined the book for me.

I love babies in books; unplanned babies even more! If possible, I fell in love with Philip even more in this book. His excitement and enthusiasm about his future was heartwarming.  JJ handled everything that was thrown her way with grace and a positive attitude.

What I didn’t care for was the abrupt change in Lori. The fact that we are never given a reason for the change.  Yes, I kept thinking hormones, but that doesn’t explain the attitude after the baby arrives. Poor Danny, he just takes her blows left and right. He should’ve manned up sooner and put a stop to Lori’s attitude. I felt like there was no resolution and that it was kind of pointless.

I really enjoyed Phillip and Danny’s POV. I felt I gained a better understanding of Danny’s relationship with JJ and Philip. JJ’s birth scene (I don’t want to give anything away, so I can’t say any more) made me cry.  The epilogue gave us just enough of a look into everyone’s future.

That Baby is written beautifully and contains a ton of emotion. It is the perfect conclusion to JJ and Phillip’s Story
