Our thoughts...

I’m going to start by how excited I was to read this book.  I saw the cover and was like WOW I cannot wait to get my hands on it!  Then I saw that it was student/teacher and I was even more excited! Yes, I judge a book by its cover a lot and this one is awesome!

I think started to read the book and was intrigued by where the story for this one was going to go.  At 50% I was bored but I very rarely give up on a book.  If I start one I have to finish, I don’t like to quit.  This was one pushing me close to not finishing.  I talked to some book friends and they convinced me to push through.  The story of the student/teacher relationship in this book has been done there wasn’t really anything unique here.  The characters were flawed but it just never got there for me.  It was teetering on the edge of getting there and then just fell flat.  I felt the ending was rushed.  The story just never hit its climax.  I was totally waiting for that wow moment.  In my opinion I have read some really great student/teacher books, which are some of my favorites, and this one just fizzled out.

I really do hate to write negative reviews and strongly feel that everyone reads a different book.  With that being said, you could love this one.  If you are a fan of student/teacher romance it may be perfect for you.  I wanted more from the story than it gave me.  I will give this author another chance and look forward to her next book.
