Our thoughts...

If you enjoy suspense at all, even a little, you do not want to miss out on He Will Be My Ruin. This book had me second-guessing everything and everyone, including K.A. Tucker (gasp!) and myself. There is so much more to this story than there initially seems and everyone is fair game. TRUST NO ONE!

description

This is a complex story with an intricately woven plot that is filled with plenty of mystery, intrigue, suspense, and intelligence. I’m not going to touch on the plot any further or even most of the characters because I refuse to risk spoiling anything. This is the kind of story that keeps you guessing until the answers are smacking you in the face and it’s a rollercoaster of a ride.

What I can say is that the female lead, Maggie, is strong, intelligent, tenacious, vulnerable, brave, loyal, and flawed. She is a great main character because she’s in the same boat as the reader. No one knows this cast of characters like Celine, the person at the center of it all, and she’s dead. Maggie is new to the scene and has only her evolving impressions and gut instincts to base anything on. Her theories evolve on a regular basis and so will yours. The constant unknown makes this story extra exciting.

He Will Be My Ruin is the best I’ve read by Tucker. This story had me on edge the entire time and caused me to review the clues until my head was spinning. I loved every minute of it. I was hooked from the beginning and didn’t breathe well until the last page was turned. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a smart, suspenseful read.
