Our thoughts...

This story puts you in the shoes of a situation you may not know; one you may have thought you understood, one you may have unintentionally (or intentionally) judged. Then there are those women who do know this situation and can relate to all too well. Maybe some are nodding through this knowing the story, having been there or going through it. Maybe some are reading it and their lives will be changed, maybe even saved. Not only is this book empowering to many, it is comforting, it is uniting, it is eye-opening, it is encouraging.

I’m not going to say more than that because I don’t want to spoil one ounce of this book. The author’s note at the end says it all but don’t read it until you’re done with the book. I feel like a stronger woman reading this and I’m not in a situation anywhere close to Lily’s. I will say that I love a lot of characters in this book and I wouldn’t mind seeing more of them. I’m just saying…

In regards to any trigger issues you may or may not have heard about…download the sample or pick up a paperback and read the dedication. You can glean a lot from that. This is a good book, people.
