Our thoughts...

I think that maybe this was a case of it's just me. I had a really hard time wrapping my head around some of the book. It was all very cliche.

Justine is the smart but poor law student that had to rely on a scholarship to reach her dreams. Her eye was on the prize and nothing would stand in the way.

Ryker was the rich and entitled bad boy of law school. His prize for some reason was to land Justine. So he tried...for two years. That doesn't mean that he waited for her. Nope he still did his thing while pining away for the one who refused.

I went into this book judging by the cover (hot) and what I got was over the top drama that really was crammed into a small part of the book that I just couldn't fathom. Ryker made some really dumb decisions that were just out of left field and childish.

There was potential there but it just didn't work for me.

  1. I had my eye on this just because of the law school setting. That place was hell and I'm glad I don't ever have to go back. I don't think this would be my cuppa with the overabundance of drama. Glad you liked it, Polly!
