Our thoughts...
I have a major book hangover. Kandi Steiner sure has a way
with words. She has become one of my go to authors after reading Weightless and
Love Letter to Whiskey. Revelry is no different; you get your angst but in a
sweet kind of way and learn how to forgive.
Wren is fresh off a divorce and feels lost. She was married
to a man she thought she’d spend the rest of her life with. She feels so much
guilt for ending her marriage. How do you stay in a marriage when your husband
doesn’t support your dreams and you feel lonely all the time? Wren is a fashion
designer and owns her own business she decides a summer in a cabin away from
everything is what she needs to get her back on track. Her clothing line and
her friends are what keep her going. Now she just has to find her inspiration
again and learn to let go of the guilt she feels.
Anderson has so much pain he carries with him daily he’s not
living at all he just exists. He has a routine he does daily to keep him busy
so he doesn’t think about his past. He is thrown for a loop when he first sees
Wren.
Both of these characters have baggage that is keeping them
from really living life. Neither of them is in a place for any kind of
emotional relationship. The more time Anderson and Wren spend together they
slowly start to heal each other piece by piece. I loved the slow build up
between these two characters. This is a
heartbreaking story that will slowly put you back together. Life is messy and
learning how to forgive is so hard. I love second chance romances and that is
exactly what this is. I LOVED it! This is one you don’t want to miss.
loved review Ashley!
