Our thoughts...

I have been waiting for this book since the author announced it was in the works months ago. I have read her previous work, and have been intrigued by this latest breakout author.  I will say after staying up until the middle of the night and eventually finishing it off the next day I was utterly consumed.
To say that she gave me feeling back into my love for contemporary is an understatement. I felt as if I was back in time reading one of our favorites from an original indie romance producer.  Let’s face the facts. Those are huge shoes to fill with some of our all-time greats.  I was chasing the butterflies throughout my system most of the book. My heart was dropping at times from the angst. All the while thinking this author, this person, is writing from her soul. You can feel the blood from her fingertips as she creates this beautiful story. It was so poetic I didn’t even know how to process everything that was pouring out of it, yet I was on the journey with them, and not because I wanted to be, but because she let me in. She let me see the journey of self-discovery from two characters who were both broken. And my God was it poignant. If you are looking for a book to give you that high you have been missing from years ago when the indie world was fresh with full bleeding hearts, then this is your book. Read it and devour it. You will thank me for the high once you're done. I promise.

Five stars.
