This was the first time I have read a book by this author and was so excited after reading the blurb. I loved the blurb and the cover of this book. I am a sucker for single dad/ friends to lovers story.
Garrett became a dad when he was a teenager and had his best friend Devlyn to help raise her. Now 18 years later Mia is getting ready for college and worried about her dad being alone. She wants her dad to be happy and find someone who makes him happy.
The relationship between Devlyn and Garrett frustrated me at times. I kept wondering why it took so long for him to realize his feelings for her. I really enjoyed the relationship between Garrett and his daughter Mia.
What I didn’t like was the fact that I thought this was going to be about a single dad with a young child. While I enjoyed the story after reading the blurb and seeing the cover I thought the child would be younger. The writing was good and the story was intriguing. I will be reading this author again.
