I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. WOW! The story was unique, gripping and so full of emotion. You’re reading two almost three stories at once trying to figure out how they all go together. I’m honestly speechless.

I will admit that I was a tad confused with all the character in the beginning that I had to make a little chart of who was who as I tried to decipher the mystery of Jared and Billie. As well as navigating the story that Marni wanted me to believe.

I loved Jared and his strength and determination. Billie is strong and loving with such a big heart. The attraction was instant but the relationship building to time and it was real and raw. I loved it!

100% honesty at one point I thought this story was going to go into a taboo direct and I was bracing for impact. Job well done on that twist!!!

This is my first Marni Mann book and I will definitely be reading her again.
