Our thoughts...
I’m honestly not sure what to write. I was really
looking forward to reading Even If It Hurt, I wasn’t expecting to read
what I did, I was left with so many questions, WHY being the biggest one.
I’m not a blogger that has a lot of triggers while
reading. I can read some pretty crazy stuff and not even blink. However, I like
there to be some reason behind a character’s actions and that reason needs to
be better than what we were given in EIIH.
I enjoyed Chloe’s story with Oliver, that is what epic
love affairs of made of. I loved her story with Lance, that is what we all
dream to have some day. My issue came when these two stories merged. Parties
were wronged who didn’t deserve to be, all because someone was being selfish.
The writing is good, the characters are well developed
and there is plenty of emotions to pull on your heart strings.
