I was hooked by blurb and devoured this book in a
matter of hours. This was my first time reading a book by Ker Dukey. I have
been in a mafia mood lately, so I figured why not give a new author a try.
I really liked the chemistry between Alyssa and Luca,
the beautiful ballerina and the mobsters. Alyssa's spirit set Luca's on fire;
he's not used to called out for his behavior. I was entertaining to watch him
squirm. LOL.
I felt the ending was a bit rushed since I was at
85ish% before anything really happened, I was not sure if there would be
another book or if this on was going to wrap-quickly. I would have preferred
the book to be a bit longer.
Overall a solid 3.5 to maybe 3.75 stars, if you like
mafia books give this one a shot, it is fast paced with laugh-out-loud moments
and a good balance of angst.
