Our thoughts...
The Rake is the final book
in the Boston Belle’s series. I enjoyed Devon and Emmabelle’s story, told in
dual perspectives with past/present chapters. We were able to see how their
situations changed them into the adults there are today.
I will admit that at times I found both to be a tad
difficult to deal with. I was screaming at my kindle, don’t do it! You are
going to regret that later.
I liked this book but was a bit disappointed. I would
have liked to see more heartfelt moments between the two. They were over achievers
in the angst department and masters of creating drama that didn’t need to be
there.
I did enjoy seeing characters from the past books. I
will miss this group of characters to a certain extent.
