This is my first time reading this author and let me tell you it will not be the last. Rewrite Our Story was so much more than I expected. This author had me hooked from the very first page and staying up late reading.
I love small town romances and oh man was this one good. Marigold lost her mom at a young age and in a way lost her dad too. He had a hard time being a dad after losing his wife. Thank goodness her best friend Pippa lived near by and her family loved her like she was one of theirs. The one person who could comfort her the most was Pippa’s brother Cade. They had this connection and pull towards each other. The kind of thing we are want.
Marigold ended up leaving for college and didn’t come back home much. She is back now after years of being gone. She is not back for a fun visit. After she gets news of something tragic happens she is back home and ready to help her best friend. Things between her and Cade are not the greatest and he is just plain mean.
This book had it all and broke my heart. I really felt for these characters and wanted things to work out for them. Rewrite Our Story was packed full of emotions and angst. It is a book you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait for the next book in this series and to read more books by this author.
