Our thoughts...
Three Rivers and City of Champions are part of A Gateway To Love Novel. They are both standalones that are in the same series. Both of the books have a storyline that revolve around a light mystery and love. Three Rivers also touches on the idea of moving forward in life when it’s the last thing you want to do. City of Champions is about finding a balance between life and work.
As much as I enjoyed both of these stories, at times I found them to be a bit too simple. Half way through both of them I had figured out the mystery, which took away from the experience of the book. They followed the same storyline, other than the characters, and the idea of the story, everything else just felt the same.
I was really excited about reading these books. The author is super cute and fun! She gives away champagne at book signings when you buy her books! I mean, that right there meets my qualifications to be my bestie! I digress….in the end I wanted to LOVE these books, I didn’t love them, but I like them…like, like, them.
