Angst ~ Self Loathing ~ Sacrificing

This is the first book I have read by Kate McCarthy.  Who doesn’t love a hot jock romance with an Australian heroine?  This quote really stuck out for me “ Home’s not a place where you live.  It’s a feeling.”

This isn’t your typical sports romance story. Jordan Elliott leaves her home of Australia her senior year of college to pursue soccer in Texas. She has a lot on the line to succeed; falling in love isn’t one that list.

Brody Madden is your typical college football player on the outside. He has demons to fight with no one on his side until he met Jordan.

They are both strong characters in their own way. There was many times my heart strings were pulled where Brody was concerned. Pressure from your family and teammates can cause you to make some bad choices.

“It means they deserve forgiveness from those who were expecting too much, and from those who were supposed to be there supporting them when it got too hard.”

I really enjoyed this story and am glad I took a chance on this author.

“I love you. You’re my home, and I’m yours.”
