Our thoughts...

Do you want a Sugar Daddy?

Let me just talk about the ever sensitive subject that is rape. I don’t like even to think about it, but with the massive real-life story about the Stanford swimmer going around this brought about even more perspective.

I felt what she felt in those moments in her mind. What a horrible thing to go through. Sela had just turned sixteen and had the urge to go out and do something fun, not knowing what kind of tragedy was about to happen to her physically and mentally. The author invoked emotion in my mind while I was reading it. I had a tough time with it, but that’s when you know she has studied up on her information on such a sensitive subject.

Sela takes us through the plot for revenge and the meeting of Beck. Whom also is her rapist long time friend and business partner. Beck is everything a man should be. He is kind, thoughtful, sweet and gentle with a side dose of Alpha. I loved his character development in this installment as well. He has been living a life of seclusion not settling for any girl. Then along comes Sela.  Things happen, and they begin down that long road of forming a bond.

I will say this relationship developed perfectly. By the end of the book, some secrets are revealed, and your heart breaks for what happens. Then it’s silence. We won’t know what happens until the next book gets here! Let’s just say I hope and pray that Sela and Beck figure it out, because what a freaking mess!

I enjoyed reading this and am looking forward to Sugar Rush.
