Our thoughts...
I LOVE this author. Ginger Scott knows how to pull you into
a book. This one was no different.
I absolutely loved this story and the characters. I never
knew the term hard count was a football strategy used by the quarterback. I
learned some things about football I never knew.
Reagan is smart and very outspoken; she tells it like it
is. She has a love for film and wants to
peruse that as her future. Her father is the football coach at her high school.
During her senior year she decides to a video to help her get into the college
she wants. Regan is doing a video on football. Little did she know people would
be after her dad’s job and stop at nothing. They seemed like they had the
perfect life from the outside. No one knows how hard it is on her family.
Nico isn’t your typical high school boy from Cornwell Prep.
He is from the wrong side of the tracks, able to go there on scholarship.
Fitting in is not easy for him so when he’s approached about playing football
he questions it. It takes awhile for Nico to fit in and be respected.
“Look at me like you
expect more. Look at me like it isn’t going to be easy.”
Regan has been his
biggest supporter and the more time they spend together the more they like each
other. She sees him for who he is and who he’s trying to be. I loved the
chemisty between Nico and Reagan. This was such a sweet romance that has you
pulling for the underdog. This is a must
READ.
