Our thoughts...

Super excited for a new book by Jodi Ellen Malpas she knows how to write and pull you in. This story was no exception to that.

Camille is a very independent woman trying to make a name for herself without her father’s help. Her father may be the rich and powerful almighty Trevor Logan but she doesn’t let him tell her what to do. One day she gets called into her father’s office and has no choice but to listen to him and do as he says. Hoping that this new circumstance doesn’t interrupt her life that much.

Jake is now a bodyguard after spending many years in the army. He likes to stay busy so he doesn’t think about all the things that haunt him from his past. Getting this new job to shadow Trevor Logan’s daughter is not what he wanted. He thought she would be a spoiled brat. After spending time with her his opinion changes and he realizes she has a heart of gold and is true to herself.

The more time Jake and Camille spend together the harder is it for them to fight the instant pull they have towards each other.  They both know it’s a bad idea but once lines are crossed its hard to go back.

I enjoyed this book once it started to pick up. I really wish we would have gotten an Epilogue to tie up more of the story.
