Our thoughts...

Oh boy this one is going to be tough for me to put into a review. First let me say that Him and Us ,in which we are introduced to these characters, hover around my top fav book lists. I loved them so much. Maybe it was my fault for hyping this one up in my head too much before going in.

So let's just get right to it. Blake. I couldn't get him. I thought he was by far one of the most immature characters that I have ever read. I KNEW he was childish from the first few books but for some reason I was hoping the authors could use this book as a growth book for him. It never happened. He was at times more immature then my 12 year old. It made the whole book awkward for me. I couldn't take anything he said seriously and I kinda checked out.

I did love seeing the rest of the gang and really that was the only thing that kept me interested in a detached way.

However many of my friends loved this one. So maybe you will need to give it a try. I found it to be low on angst and high on steam. If I liked the character and he acted more grown up then it would have been a perfect formula for a 5 star for me.
