Our thoughts...

This is my first book by this author and it will not be last. Veronica Larsen has a new fan in me.

Reading the blurb I was wondering what I was getting myself into but was very intrigued at the same time. This story touches on a very real and hard subject. Addiction is something a lot of people suffer with everyday. This is a story about heartbreak, forgiveness and overcoming something many can’t.

We meet Mila who is almost at a stand still with her life. She works but that’s about it, she can never make a relationship work. She has been carrying around heartbreak with her for eight years. When she finally feels like she can move on for good Cole shows back up.

Cole is a complicated character that I loved and felt for. He is trying to do right by Mila and leave her alone but it’s hard when she is still the one for him. Cole has a complicated past and is trying to make a life for himself and give Mila the answers she’s been wanting.

Andrew has been a good friend to Mila and is hoping to start something up with her. They have a good working relationship and hang out outside of work. They both seem to have people from their past they can’t seem to let go of.

I am huge fan of second chance romances. I devoured this book and had my characters I was pulling for. I can’t wait to read another book by Veronica Larsen
