Our thoughts...

Brittainy C. Cherry never disappoints. She has a way of telling a story and pulling you in. For me she is one of my go to authors and there are not many of those. I can always pick up one of her books and know I am going to love it. This was another masterpiece.

Jasmine and Elliot come from different backgrounds but have a lot in common. Jasmine has moved a lot with her mom and has never been to public school. She has finally convinced her mom to let her attend a public high school, this come with conditions. Her mom thinks music and dance should be her number one priority. Jasmine likes to sing but not what her mom wants her to sing.

Elliot is cold and distant to most people. He is not a popular kid at school and most times is bullied. He has an amazing talent of playing jazz music. The way Elliot was treated by kids at school broke my heart. There were times I was crying because of what Elliot was going through.

Jasmine and Elliot’s relationship was so sweet and pure. She was always standing up for him and doing what she had to, to protect him. This book was so incredibly good and broke my heart and put the pieces back together by the end. I highly recommend this book.
