Our thoughts...

Everyone has been shouting at the rooftops about how great this series is I just had to dive in right away! It’s about demons and a rare breed daemon girl who has the been betrothed to a particular young demon at the age of 4.
So the story starts off right as the girl comes of age to start “dating” the betrothed demon, only things don’t go as planned, but do they ever?

I must admit while I did enjoy this story, and plot line I did find that there were a lot of inconsistencies and errors. A good editor would have been ideal, but alas I tried to overlook as much as possible to continue. I can’t possibly tell you all the spoils of the book, but I can tell you the author was moving the story in the right direction. Sometimes when you have too many characters involved you can get lost, and she did some, but would eventually find her way back around.

In all, I am continuing to see where the next one goes. It is in my reading experience that the second novel always picks up and is usually stronger than the first. If you want to take a chance at this angsty PNR series, I say go for it.

3.5 stars.
