Our thoughts...
I really liked the The
Upside of Falling, I was eagerly awaiting the release of The Downside of Love. I had to know how this story ended after the final
scene.
I expected this book to be different, I expected there
to be a battle for Rory’s heart. I would’ve been better off not reading TDOL, creating my own ending to the
story. TUOF is told from Colby and
Rory’s POV, TDOL is told from Stryker
and Rory’s POV. I enjoyed getting to know Stryker but the whole time I kept
asking myself why, what was the point of the first book. That really bothered
me. Rory’s hero complex really bothered me in this book.
I’m all for heartbreak if there is a reason behind it but this was a pointless heartbreak.
If the epilogue is an indication of the next book to
be released, that will be a hard pass from me.
