Our thoughts...

My experience reading book by Shanora Williams is limited but The Man I Can’t Have has totally changed it! I was hooked from the first page.

You know when you’re reading a book and you instantly don’t like a character?? It’s not so much something that they said or did, it’s just this vibe that you are picking up, that they are hiding something. Let me say the vibe was strong in this book.

Gabby is newly married and newly relocated to Hilton Head (Can I say this is one of my favorite places to visit). Her and Kyle purchased their dream house. Sounds amazing right? Young, living on the ocean but their marriage isn’t perfect, Kyle must travel a lot for work, basically he is gone more than he is home. That is fine, Gabby oversees getting the new house put together. In doing so, she wants to have a new patio, hot tub and wet bar put in.

As she searches for contractor, she finds Ward Landscaping. Let me just say Marcel has it all going on, he’s handsome, in-shape and intense. There is something about him that screams heartbreak.

I’ll let you use your imagination as to how this all  plays out.

I will say this. the ending shocked me. I wasn’t expecting it. Now I’m here biting my nails to see how this all ends.
