I’ve be patiently waiting for What We Do in the Light. I fell in love with Ari and Valentine in What We Do in the Dark. I needed to know how their story ended.

I was praying that Ari would be able to correct his past mistakes and hopefully learn from them. At the same time, I was hoping that Val wouldn’t shut him out, she tends to be a bit stubborn.

There was a lot of character growth in this book for both Ari and Val (Valentine) with more real-life issues factoring in. I had to agree with Ari a few times that Val was acting like a child.

Overall, I liked the story it had a different feel from book 1. At times the story felt a bit rushed.

Overall the duet gets a solid 4 stars!
