Our thoughts...
I devoured this book. I was captivated by Samson and
Beyah’s stories. I wanted to know more about the mysterious boy next-door and
the girl who nobody knew. The amount pain that was so clearly there but others
missed. Oh, the masks we wear to prevent others from seeing our truths.
The amount of emotion that went into this story breaks
your heart and makes you take a hard look around because you know this is
happening today.
I highly recommend that you go into this story blind.
Please do not read reviews, just start reading this book. Then look around your
community with your eyes wide open.
Look to see what you might me be missing.
The journey of Beyah and Samson is one of strength, perseverance, and
determination.
