Our thoughts...

Courage ~ Adventure ~ Tenacity

Where Sea Meets Sky is a story full of adventure, uncertainty, courage, and beauty. Artist Josh Miles throws caution to the wind to follow his heart and free his soul. Gemma Henare is simultaneously searching for herself and running away from life. The primary setting is in New Zealand and it becomes clear early on that Halle knows her way around the country. The scenes are described in great detail and from what feels like an artist’s perspective befitting Josh and Gemma both.

The second quarter of the story feels more like of a travel diary than a romance novel, which is fine, but I would have liked the people to take precedence over location. I love hearing about all of the sites and adventures but I wanted to see more development in the plot. The plot picked back up around the halfway point and I was able to invest myself more. Overall, this is a relaxing story with a few speed bumps but no road blocks, much like Josh and Gemma’s adventure. The settings are stunning and inspiring and the characters are beautifully flawed and real.
