Our thoughts...

Feisty ~ Chaotic ~ Calamitous

The beautiful bastard and beautiful bitch are finally back! I mean, really back. We've seen glimpses of them from time to time but they just haven't felt the same since Beautiful Bastard. It apparently takes a wedding and self-imposed celibacy to revive their spirit.
Beautiful Beginning has us diving into their world again as they approach their wedding day. The fire and passion we experienced between these two in Beautiful Bastard is back in full force along with a healthy dose of tension and calamity. Beautiful Beginning reads more like a full-length story than a novella with a well-developed story that does not feel rushed or full of holes. This is my favorite of all of the novellas.

The narration is on par with the other books in the series. Grace Grant is as consistent as always and Sebastian York maintains his improved portrayal of Bennett Ryan. Together they manage to make the story feel more like real life than a fictional tale. The characters have personality and a vibrancy that is not always found in audiobooks. These two make it easy to get lost in the story and make listening a real pleasure.
