Our thoughts...

Cruelty, Heartbreaking, Happy ending

I have wanted to read this book for a very long time and I’m so glad that I finally picked it up and started reading.  I was thrown off by the warning and a little nervous about the heavy material.  However, the cover just grabbed me.  This was just a beautifully written story.  The situations and experiences that Nicole goes through are so heartbreaking.

I was hooked at 4%.  This quote just really hit home to me and started this emotional rollercoaster of a book for me.  “This is how life should always be-sitting by someone you love, enjoying the moment, waiting for something exciting to happen.”
Even though parts of this story were hard to read because of the heavy domestic violence, it was still a story of hope, love, and a happy ending.  This story follows Nicole’s journey through abuse, her escape, and finding her happy ending.  Its ugly, its rough, and it is beautiful.

I highly recommend this book. It is a very touchy subject matter but in the end the story was amazing.  It was inspired by true events.  “Scars are your body’s way of healing, making that damaged part stronger than it ever was before the pain.”  This is a book that I will never forget.

Pick this one up!
