Our thoughts...

I’ve been going back into books that I have had for a long long long time and reading them and this book is one of them.  I added the cover of the book I read.  The cover has been updated but this is the paperback book I have that I read and I wanted to share that cover with you.  The publisher may have even changed or at least changed their name but this is the book that I have and what I am sharing with you.

Even though I am in my 30s I still love a good young adult romance and this one really did it for me.  You meet Brittany.  She is a high school senior that everyone thinks is the perfect girl.  Good grades, cheerleader captain, football player boyfriend, and virgin to name a few things about Brittany but it is all an act?  She gets partnered up with Alex in chemistry for the whole year and is stuck with him.  Alex is a gangbanger.  He is from the opposite side of town.  He is 100% different than Brittany but he is the perfect bad boy.  The clash and fight through out a lot of this book but happen to not be able to stay away from each other.

I really liked this book.  It brought so many things from the young adult genre that I love.  These characters have so many struggles and you can’t help but keep cheering for them.  I will say I did hate the cover.  I hated it a lot and I think that is why I waited so long to read it but don’t worry the new version has a much better cover!

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves young adult books.  This is book one in a series and the next book is about Carlos, Alex’s brother.  I am almost finished with book two as well and I really like it so far!
