Our thoughts...

Deception~Batman~Growth

Holy Batman!! This series keeps getting better and better.  We finally get answers!!! As well as more questions… I know I am smudge bias because I have loved this series since book one but just when you think you have a grasp on what is going to happen Aleatha throws you a curve ball.

What I love most about this series is Nox and Charli. They are both so strong, smart. They are on the same page about what they want out of their relationship. Their ability to work together to achieve that is refreshing. There is nothing I dislike more than a whiney female MC that bows down to whatever the male MC tells her to do.

Charli is still just as spunky, sassy and self assured as she has been in the previous books. She is learning to pick her battles with Nox better. She reveals more of her past in this book: let me tell you there is so much for us to continue to learn about her. I liked watching her view on life and future events change from singular view to being the other half to a relationship. Seeing her strength in accepting this, accepting the love that she deserves and offers freely.

Nox is still the same dominating alpha male that he has been since book one. My favorite part of this book was him opening up to Charli about Jo. He still has secrets and lots of them however, the trust he is showing her is wonderful.

I think one of my favorite characters...well besides Nox, Charli and Deloris (she is still the B.O.M.B, I want her as my BFF..just sayin) is Oren.. This man has me hooked. I pray that Aleatha doesn’t break my heart with him.. He’s still a mystery, still tough but inside is a man who loves 3 to 4 people fiercely. I believe he would do anything for them. Some of the secrets he reveals, WOW just WOW!!

My least favorite people can you guess who they are??? Yep, Alton and Bryce.. Grr those two. They are up to no good.. The level of deception that they stoup to is astonishing…well not really for Alton..

My hopes for Entrapment.. That Batman and his sidekick can save the day. That Nox and Charli continue to be a united force. I am hoping that a few characters step in to help them win this battle of betrayal and deception.

Read it!
