Our thoughts...

This is a political novel without being political. It’s about this family, The Landry’s, yes one of the children is the Mayor but there is more to it than that, in all honestly that is a small part. To me it was about trust, communication and knowing yourself worth and sticking to it.

Barrett is the young mayor of Savannah who has tossed his hat into the governor’s race for the state of Georgia. He reminds me of a John F Kennedy Jr. in a lot of ways.  Allison is a single mom who is working to raise her son and put herself through college. While working her second job she meets the extremely charming and sexy mayor of Savannah, let’s just say that Mr. Landry started out as a great guy but then he put his foot in his mouth; forgetting to treat a lady like a lady! Allison called him out on his behavior. That was a huge eye opener for Barrett. He wasn’t told no very often. He realized what he was missing in life; someone who saw him and not what he could do for them.  Huxley has to be the cutest 10 year old boy EVER! I absolutely fell in love with the way he protected his mom, put family first. Can you swoon over a 10 year old without that being weird? Anyways look out ladies for when Huxley is all grown up, he’s going to be a heart breaker!

This is a new series; each book will be about a different Landry family member. I am really looking forward to Swing; Lincoln Landry’s book. I usually don’t like series like this because I find my favorite couple/character and only want to read about them. That is not the case with this series.  Adriana does a great job of tying the characters together; I hope we will see as much of Barrett, Allison and Huxley in Swing as we saw of Lincoln in Sway.  This family has earned a special place in my heart.
