Our thoughts...
It really kills me to 3 star this book. Trudy Stiles is always an author that brings out all my feelings and she's usually my go to author when I need good angst with a happy outcome. This one just ticked one too many of my pet peeve boxes and I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
I think one reason that I'm torn is because I loved the first half of the book. The past tense.
I loved kid Heath and kid Noelle. Watching their love grow and bloom was the best part of the book. I love a good soulmate relationship.
I started to have an issue when the "conflict" came about and I guessed where it was going. I think it was a bit too predictable.
Grown up Heath is a member of a famous rock band but can't move on from the love of his life. However he did move on, kinda. I had a huge issue with who that person was. HUGE. I think I checked out of the book then.
The second half of the book moved at warp speed. Everything was tied up too neatly and too fast.
This one missed it's mark for me, but please check out this author's other works!.
