Our thoughts...

JEM does it again with The Protector, she gives us character that we can’t help but fall in love with. The chemistry between these two characters is electric!

Jake Sharp is this sexy mysterious bodyguard. He’s fighting his own personal demons; well more so working to ignore them. Until he accepts the job to protect Camille Logan, there is something about her that soothes Jake soul; making him believe that everything will be OKJake's past is a mystery to us for quite awhile, there are some flashbacks but we aren’t able to gather enough information on what happened.

Camille Logan is not what you see in the tabloids. She is smart, strong and determined to follow her dreams despite what her father wants from her. When a threat on her life is received, despite not wanting a bodyguard she soon realizes that see needs one. Camille has no clue of the depths that her father will to go to keep his imagine intact.

I loved the strength that both of these characters displayed more so I love the fact that Camille is strong, independent and fiercely loyal. Watching Jake let someone back into his life after his world was taken away from him was beautiful.

I felt this book was slow moving at times and other times I couldn’t turn the page fast enough. The one thing I wish is that there was an epilogue for this book. I feel it is needed, the characters are left in a good position but the amount of change that is on the horizon deserves a look further down the line. I want to know how everyone adjusted especially Charlotte and Abbie.
