Our thoughts...
Silver has the angst that you would expect from a KA Linde book. She has a true talent for making you fall in love
with a character that you swore you would hate forever.
This is Stacia’s story; cheerslut to sideline
reporter… WAIT!! Did I say sideline reporter? Yep, not a QB wife! That was her
ultimate goal through the previous books, marry a QB and live the life. That
all changes on Marshall’s NFL Draft Day; she realizes that she is not in love
with him.
Silver
is truly a journey of self determination and discovery. Stacia realizes the
error of her ways and is determined to change them for herself. I think that is
the most important factor, she is changing for herself, not her friends or a
guy.
Pace.. God you love to hate him and hate to love
him. He still has his asshole moments in this book but overall he has improved.
He called it from book one, he would be the number one NFL Draft Pick and he
was.
This was a tough book for me. I was expecting more angst with these two characters, more push and pull, more conflict. I was expecting there to be an angsty build up and then the dreaded dropped only to be built up again. I can't deny that the chemistry between Pace and Stacia is amazing. Unfortunately, this just wasn't my favorite book in the series, I wasn't able to connect with the characters like I was in past books. This book didn't consume all of my attention like the others.
