My heart is still racing and I can’t believe what I just
read. I finished days ago and can’t stop thinking about this story. Words
cannot express how truly amazing this was. Aly Martinez wrote a beautiful story
about two broken people trying to survive.
Charlotte’s life ends when her son goes missing. She throws
herself into her work. She has no existing life outside of the office. Staying
busy helps keep her demons at bay. She’s broken and doing what she can to
survive.
Porter has demons of his own and is slowly trying to move
forward. He is busy with his job and raising kids. He never expected to meet
Charlotte and be drawn to her.
These characters where perfect and I couldn’t help but fall
in love with them. The build up was perfect. Every word was pure perfection. My
emotions are still all over the place but in the best possible way. Aly Martinez
has a way with words and she delivers a beautifully broken story you can’t help
but fall in love with. This is my favorite book by her and hands down one of my
top reads for 2017. I recommend this book, this is a MUST read.
