Sarina Bowen is a must read author for me and Sarah Mayberry
is new to me. I was excited to start this book by these two authors.
Grace is a hard worker and had to learn to how to make it on
her own. She is looking after her younger sister Olivia. She is doing anything
and everything she needs and putting her needs on the back burner. Grace has a
job she is hoping will become permanent. She needs a full time job for the
finical security to take care of Olivia and herself.
Callan has just found out his Uncle Jack who he was close
with has passed away. He drops what he’s doing to head back to New York to help
go through his uncle’s things. He doesn’t have a good relationship with his mom
and he doesn’t want her getting ahold of all of Jack’s possessions. Callan
doesn’t expect to see one of his mother’s minions at his house when he arrives.
Callan has his own reasons for wanting to help Sarina
catalog all his uncle’s things. The more time they spend together the more they
grow fond of each other. Sarina tries to block what she feels for Callan
because she needs this job.
This was a sweet quick read and I really hope these authors
write more books together.
