Katie: What did you like most about Auburn and Owen’s relationship?
Terri: What I liked most about Owen and Auburn's relationship was the connection they shared. The easy banter between them, their ability to trust each other. The way that they listened and really heard what the other was saying. Their need to protect each other from the start. What about you?
Katie: What I liked about Owen and Auburn’s relationship was how real it was. You could tell from the start that they had a past, and as a reader we got to discover that past with them as it all unfolded. Their story is a reminder that life is a journey and that you have to trust the process or maybe it’s fate that you need to trust.
Katie: What was your favorite scene?
Terri: My favorite scenes are of Owen stepping in to let Auburn have one last goodbye with Adam. I thought that was so sweet and kind to do for someone he didn't know. The fact he was willing to start a fight to help a couple he doesn't even know, while going through his own loss. I also thought his conversation with Adam was touching. I felt like Adam gave his blessing to Owen at that time.
I loved Owens’s interaction with AJ in the in the tent, and afterwards when AJ is back living with Auburn.
I have to add one other item. I loved how at the end, when it mattered most Owen's Dad stepped up. He knew how Owen felt about AJ and he wanted to right his wrongs!
Katie: Dang women. Anything else? My favorite scene… the one I’ve read over and over again is when Auburn walked into Owen's art gallery for the first time. I really felt their connection as they discussed Owen’s work and how the confessions play a role in what he creates. It was such a unique ideas I was automatically pulled in. I found it refreshing to read about two people who connected through experiences instead of the regular sex we always read about.
“Instead of asking her what she thinks of the painting, or why she’s crying, I just stare at the painting with her.”
It was moments like that the one above that are woven throughout the story that really connected me to their relationship.

Terri: "I'll love you forever. Even when I can't."
"I'll love you forever. Even when I shouldn't.”

We figured it would only be fair if we shared our own confessions.
