Our thoughts...

What a pleasant little surprise I received reading Bad Romeo yesterday. One of my favorite bookies said,Anjee you just have to read it.” So I agreed to give it a shot. I ended up reading it in a little under four hours!

Dare I say it’s the typical clichĂ© romance with a twist? It's about a girl and guy who are trying to attend the same Fine arts school for their acting capabilities. I don’t know much about the acting world, but I felt it was laid out nicely through the book. As there are quite a few scenes playing out a few of their favorite Broadway Plays. The main characters have their fair share of issues.  Cassie is always in an awkward place to make everyone like her, and Ethan is always the loner type that doesn’t understand why Cassie needs to make everyone like her. We flashback from the present to the past, which I found refreshing. It’s been awhile since I have read one, and I kind of dig it. We see the whole relationship and the grounds for what is happening in the present chapters. I was a little bit stressed out in parts because I thought Ethan was running around in circles denying himself Cassie for such a long time. Well, we get to the sort of happy ending, but we don’t.Hense the leaving off for book two, which is done by the way and I will be finishing it tonight.  In all, it was a fast little read, and I enjoyed the two characters quite a bit.

4 stars.
