Our thoughts...

Ella Frank was the the first M/M author I ever read. She writes some really hot stuff and I devour all her books. She is one of my go to authors when I know I need something steamy to read and when she does M/M she does it all out.  I had never read Brook Blaine before so this was my first opportunity to jump in and maybe get a feel for her style.

I need to preface this with saying that I was a little weary that I would be lost going in and not "knowing" one of the characters. This book is a spin off of two of the author's previous books, however I was fine reading it as a stand alone and I think most people will too.

I loved Ace! He was funny and knew what he wanted and went after it. He had seen Dylan's mostly naked body plastered all over billboards and was in lust before they ever met. When they meet on the first day of a read through for Ace's new movie he was shocked that he could actually have a shot with the guy he had been drooling over.

Dylan came from a hilarious family of hippies. Their antics in one scene made me laugh so hard. He was less reserved then Ace about being in a relationship and needed to come to terms with Ace being a bit more private in his social life.

Due to Ace just coming out of the closet he had to hide their affair. The media was dying to know who he would chose as his first gay lover. They had to get creative in hiding their comings and going. Some of those creative parts were hot and one of them was a little "off" for me. Toward the end there was a scene that I just couldn't get in to. It's just a personal issue for me that most will find hot.

This is the beginning for these two. We don't get their complete story. It's more of a happy for now. I can't wait to see what their next book brings.
